Artifact:

Summary:
The first step of the cell signaling pathway is reception, which is when
a signal binds to the receptor protein of a target cell. Next is transduction,
which is the transfer of the signal which leads to response. Response it what

happens when the cell finally receives the signal and responds changing
something. An example of reception is dopamine receptors, an example of
transduction is a cascade. The main responses are activating/deactivating
enzymes, changing membrane permeability, triggering cell division, protein
synthesis, and apoptosis. EX)2.E.2:c, 3.B.2:a-b, 3.D.1:a-d, 3.D.2:a,b,c1,

Reflection:
The most important thing about this artifact was the fact that it taught
me more about how cell signals are received and transmitted. I would like to
study the different responses a cell can have further. I still struggle with
transduction, and reception and what molecules are involved.
