Behavior/Ecology
Reflection #2

2.D.1: b, 4.A.6: b, d
This lab showed me the many abiotic factors that effect dissolved oxygen levels in water
sources. Those factors are as follows: temperature, salinity, and light. Our hypotheses were proven
correct during the experiment. Those hypotheses were as temperature decreases, dissolved
oxygen levels increase. As salinity levels increase, dissolved oxygen levels decrease. As light
intensity increases, dissolved oxygen levels increase. My biggest struggles were the gross and net
primary productivities. I would like to continue my studies with this and see if anymore abiotic
factors effect dissolved oxygen levels.
