EU will have right to suspend data pact with

U.S.
In this article the issue of data sharing is being
addressed between the European Union and
the United States as an alternative to the Safe
Harbor agreement is discussed. The greatest
concern is; how to gather necessary
information from a traveling individual from
another country without it appearing to be an
interrogation. How much information should be gathered, by what means, and how
should it be gathered as not to violate individual rights.
The concern the EU has brought up is data sharing between countries after the Edward
Snowdens whistleblowing revealed the NSA surveillance tactics havent sat well with the
EU. They want to make sure that data is handled with the individuals privacy and
respect for that privacy in mind. Trust has been lost after the NSA scandal that regaining
trust is going to be a bit of a challenge that at this point must be proven and no longer
taken at face value.
