This handout represents the collaborative efforts of myself and 4 other preservice teachers to develop a lesson and an informational handout packet to help teach a problem based research scenario to my fellow preservice teacher class. By exchanging this type of information teachers can help scaffold one another in areas where they might be struggling.

Artifact for Standard 6: Collaborate & Communicate
Name of Artifact: PBL Handout
Date: November, 2015 Relation to Teacher Education Program: Assignment for ADED 42275 Where: Kent State Why & How: This handout represents the collaborative efforts of myself and 4 other preservice teachers to develop a lesson and an informational handout packet to help teach a problem based research scenario to my fellow preservice teacher class. This represents the type of teacher collaboration which can help to create a powerful lesson by bringing in the different ideas and perspectives of multiple teachers. I believe that lesson planning with other teachers is a powerful tool which can lead to powerful lessons for students. By planning with partners you also get the added benefit of the lesson being taught to multiple groups of students so the teachers can then brainstorm which parts of the lessons worked for them and which worked best for their partners. By exchanging this type of information teachers can help scaffold one another in areas where they might be lacking.
