Last Sunday, the Cold War

expanded itself into Vietnam. The
following is a picture of the citizens
in South Vietnam fighting against
North Vietnam.

The Vietnam Revolution started

because South Vietnam (aided by
the US) wanted a democracy, while
North Vietnam wanted communism.
Communism and democracy are
very different but the main
difference between them is in
communism you are given orders
on how to live life from the
government. For example what to
do for work, how much to eat, how
to live, what to do and many
others. However in a democracy

the Vietnam Revolution consisted

of South Vietnam, North Vietnam,
and South Vietnamese ally, the
United States. There was also a
group called the Viet Minh which
was led by Ho Chi Minh that took
over after the French and
Japanese leave Vietnam. Some
people opposed to the idea of
war, so instead they encouraged
the government into getting what
they wanted under protests. The
types of protests that occurred
were anti-protests and bombings.
College students held many antiprotests, while U.S was bombed
by North Vietnam for siding with
the South. There was an
estimated number of 800,000
protesters in Washington DC
against the Vietnam War from the
United States at the time. All
together around 1.3 million
people died and even more
wounded during this revolution
as well.

How it ends
The revolution ended after Ho,
the founder of Viet Minh, takes
power. Under the rule of Ho, the
Democratic Republic of Vietnam
is created. Lastly, Viet Minh is
