Philippians 2:5-13 (KJV)

5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ

Jesus:
6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not

robbery to be equal with God:

7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon

him the form of a servant, and was made in the

likeness of men:
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled

himself, and became obedient unto death, even

the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:5-13 (KJV)
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every
name:
10That at the name of Jesus every knee

should bow, of things in heaven, and things

in earth, and things under the earth;
11And that every tongue should confess that

Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the

Father.
Philippians 2:5-13 (KJV)
12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have
always obeyed, not as in my presence
only, but now much more in my
absence, work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling.
13For it is God which worketh in you both

to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Hebrews 10:7-14 (King James Version)
7Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the
book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O
God. 8Above when he said, Sacrifice and
offering and burnt offerings and offering for
sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst
pleasure therein; which are offered by the
law;
Hebrews 10:7-14 (King James Version)
9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O
God. He taketh away the first, that he may
establish the second. 10By the which will we
are sanctified through the offering of the
body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11And every
priest standeth daily ministering and
offering oftentimes the same sacrifices,
which can never take away sins:
Hebrews 10:7-14 (King James Version)
12But this man, after he had offered one

sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on

the right hand of God;13From
henceforth expecting till his enemies be
made his footstool. 14For by one
offering he hath perfected for ever
them that are sanctified.

• James 4.5,6 “ Do ye think that the

giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace
unto the humble.”
Above the Law part III
• Humility: A place of submission, giving
control to God by yielding to His Spirit.
• Humility opens the door for Grace
• Grace is the means by which we attain
holiness or holy living. Conscience
functions inside of Grace, an impartation
from God.
Above the Law part III
• Grace defined,
• Philippians 2.12,13 “ Wherefore, my
beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as

God which worketh in you both to will

• What then is the problem ?
• Pride will not let you agree with the
image that God is showing you.
• Pride will argue with the definition of
Grace
• Pride will keep you double minded
• Pride will cause God to resist you
