LDR/531 Version 6
At this meeting we discussed the previous week wherein inquiry was had as to
whether I find my position challenging in a desirable sense, and if so, is it of a
degree that it continues to be interesting and enjoyable from that same
standpoint.
2. What issues have you encountered since the last meeting and how did you address them?
One minor issue was encountered wherein I found myself reacting to a coworkers premeditated oversight in a perceivably condescending fashion. I
quickly realized this of myself and corrected same before such befell the ears of
anyone other than mine own.
3. Interview your mentor to gather information about his or her organization, department, and job
description. You will use this information in your Motivation Plan assignment, due in Week 5. How has
he or she seen attitudes, emotions, personalities, and values influence the behavior of people in his
or her department?
He asserts that individual and collective morale easily stands as the most
powerful influencer of behaviors and conduct in the organization; whereof
attitude, emotion, personalities, and value are each a variable, and everfluctuating: no single aspect of dealing with different individuals can ever be
picked out to apply universally or generally. Understanding this is half the
battle at any job! Adaptation is the secret to the secret
4. Discuss how your mentor has applied principles of motivation and satisfaction while in a leadership
role. How did these applied principles increase morale?
