Being quiet is usually understood as physical silence, yet true quietness
occurs in the mind. When it is truly quiet the whole world may seem to stay still. The stillness would be of such depth that you would feel yourself in a highly magnified way. This type of stillness of mind can occur whatever the situation may be outside. It is during these stillness that we come to know parts of our being which are truly core to us. Whatever situation, whatever troubles which we face, if we can truly quieten our mind for even one second, it will have a profound effect upon us. To search for our inner self is to learn to be silent. Silence is the true nature of being. So be quiet.
