MY FAVOURITE PAST TIME ACTIVITY

Everyone has a favourite past time activity in their life whether it is gloomy or
glad story. All of these will make our life colourful. I also has an adventure activity that
happen at Mount Jerai. Since I was studying near the location of that massive limestone
mountain, which was Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Baling, it was worthless if
we had never been there. In fact, our school was not far from Mount Jerai. It is such an
unforgettable experience in my life because it was my first time I went there.
We started our journey on 30 April 2011 at Lembah Bujang Archeological
Museum. This exploration was about 3 days and 2 nights. We were divided into 14
groups according to the class and each group was headed by JPA staff and forests
ranger. The forest rangers sometimes take a break and use the time to explain to us
about the flora and fauna in Mount Jerai. It was sweet memory as we learnt many types
of different plants and their uses that grew in their natural habitat. Clearly, it was a great
moment for us to appreciate our nature and their uses.
Along the journey, there were a lot of challenges. Firstly, we were lost in the
middle of jungle. It was unforgettable memory as we should wait about an hour before
we were saved by the other forests rangers. Luckily, all of us were safe. Besides that,
our journey was more difficult when there was a rain. We need to be careful because
the track was wet. In addition, the way to reach the peak of the mountain became more
difficult and adventure when it came into 50 degrees way. In order to climb up we used
a rope and it need a good teamwork in order to make sure that everyone was secure.
Although there were a lot of challenges along this exploration we were arrived on the
peak of that mountain safely.
When we arrived at the crest of that mountain we were welcomed by the
beautiful panorama from the top of the mountain. We were likely in heaven when we felt
so calm and peaceful there. We also held a motivation programmed during the night.
Besides that, we also held a beautiful art night. Every group was compulsory to act
upon a wonderful performance. My group was prepared to sing a song and we got a
gigantic applause from the audiences. We had a lot of excitement during this precious

time. Besides that, we probable felt that we were in Antarctica because the weather was
so cold. Because of that, I experienced wearing a pair of sock and 4 pieces of cloths for
the first time during my sleeping hours. It was a good memory that I never erased in my
mind forever.
We packed our stuffs and ready to leave this fantastic place on the last day.
Before that, we had a closing ceremony programmed that launched by our gorgeous
principal. Then, we left this memorable place by used the other track. We did not used
jungle tracking track as before, but we used a road to go back to our college. It was less
challenges as compared to jungle tracking track. The buses were already waited to
bring us back to our college. In the bus, majority of us were slept because we felt so
tired but very happy.
In a nutshell, Mount Jerai was my incredible experience because it was my first
time I went there and learnt a lot about our nature. I also experienced a lot of things
besides a challenged that we had to face during this exploration. It is worthy because I
enjoy with the stunning scenery there.
