Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank
all the parents for their help and support over the past K2 GRADUATION & END- twelve months. As we've mentioned before, it is our OF-YEAR PERFORMANCES belief that students flourish best when their education FRIDAY 28TH JUNE is nurtured and supported by both parents and educators. Our successes this year have certainly proven this to be true. SUMMER CAMP Teacher Daniel MON 8TH - FRI 26TH JULY NURSERY & KINDERGARTEN NEWS It is hard to believe that we are at the end of the year. It seems like just yesterday when we welcomed all the new faces, some crying and some overjoyed to embark on their new journey.
We’ve had some spectacular highlights. Our personal
favourites include our trip to Kiddy World, Halloween celebrations and seeing the wonderful job the parents did for International Day. We are very proud of the progress that all the children made and it has been a pleasure to see how they’ve grown into independent, caring and principled students.
One of the hardest moments of a teacher’s career is when the
time comes to say goodbye to the children you spent most of your days with for a year. Thank you for brightening our days with your joyful smile and happiness. We wish you all the best for the year ahead and we will continue to cheer you on.
Love,
T. Elize and T. Amy
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR AT SISB CHIANG MAI Looking to review the school year at SISB, we decided the students would be the best individuals to share their memories and experiences from the past 12 months. And here they are ...
RESIDENTIAL TRIP TO DOI PUI
When, we arrived at Hmong Village, it was cool and quiet. We walked down from the bus and started walking around the village. We saw many shops selling fancy clothes and many more. Then, we arrived at this museum which was so small, it was a small little house full of weapons and tools.
Next, we took lots of photo, and then walked until we
saw a beautiful garden full of many different kinds of flowers. .After that we went to a small cafe near the garden. Inside the cafe we could see the whole village and it was beautiful. Then we started walking back to the bus, and teacher Daniel told us we could buy anything we wanted. Most of the students bought strawberries and toys. Then we arrived at the bus and headed to the Royal Agriculture Station.
Next, we arrived at agriculture station where we were
going to stay for the night and we put our bags in our room. Later we went to the strawberries field which was full of red strawberries. The instructor told us that we can’t grow strawberries without straw and everyone was amazed and that’s how strawberries got their name. Then the instructor taught us how to make the perfect soil for strawberries. We had lots of fun at the strawberries field. SHIMMY - P5 Love
The most memorable days this year was our
Residential Trip to Doi Pui. We did so much fun stuff. First, we visited the Doi Pui Hmong Village where we took loads of pictures, Then we went back to our hotel and planted strawberries and collected strawberries and we had a walk.
When we were done we went to collect sticks .The
teachers split us in 3 teams there were Five Fangs, Dead Flashlights and The Swag. My team was Team Swag and you know which team won my team!
Last of all we started the campfire and we started
to roast marshmallows and it was so fun .That's why it’s the most memorable day this year MIRO - P3 Love INTERNATIONAL DAY One of the most memorable days this year was International day. Our class and the P4s chose Samoa, a Polynesian country.
We each had different jobs. Mine was to make some delicious
fruit salad. We also did a simple Samoan dance that we practised everyday before class, at snack time and during lunch time. I think we did a really good job. My parents and I had already been to Hawaii which is also a Polynesian island.
A few weeks before International day, we made a video of us
talking/teaching about fascinating information about Samoa.
On the day before International Day, most parents came to help
decorate. We had a lot of beautiful decorations.
Then we found out what countries all the other classes
represented. There were Vietnam, Mozambique, Singapore, France, Hawaii, Japan, Mexico and, of course, Samoa.
I really liked International Day and I cannot wait for next year’s International Day!
I wonder what country we will represent.

A MEMORABLE DAY - HALLOWEEN
One of the most memorable days this year was Halloween. When I got to the school I saw a lot of people wearing costumes such as zombies, monsters, mummys and some princess too. My friends and I were wearing vampire costumes.
The day before Halloween P4 and my class were making a
haunted house. Some of the kid screamed so loud and some of the kid cried too. l think that was because the song that teacher Daniel turned on - it was so scary, and our haunted house it was so dark!
When we were waiting for another kids to come we just ate
candy.
When I saw my Thai teacher wearing a ghost pregnant I was
so scared because it look so real!!
When I went home I watched a story about ghosts and I can’t
even go down on my bed .I watch with my brother and my aunt. Then I went to get the candy that I got from sisb school and shared with my brother and aunt. Then we ate the candy to and watched the ghost story too

CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE - JUNGLE BOOK One of the best memories I had in school was the jungle book play. I was Shere-Khan, the main villain. I was so nervous when it was my turn to go on stage, I couldn’t even see well. But on the second time I went on stage it was fine! So I got over the whole nervous to death thing, and I was doing pretty good, everyone was doing great it was all going well until I had to sing the “I want be like you” song, and I actually thought I was going to faint of nervousness but I survived through the whole play without you know, fainting! Go me!
It was a great show, everyone did great, and it seemed like
the audience loved our performance! After the show we went to the bathroom to take our makeup off and BOY, were the makeup hard to take off! After everyone took their makeup off our teachers came to compliment us. Like I mentioned I was Shere-Khan the tiger and in the ending I died, because Shere-Khan died in the movie (Sorry for the spoiler). I felt really good and I felt proud of myself. So yeah it was great, I felt great, it was awesome the end.
