CLASS HISTORY

By: Nicole Gabo

To our active principal Mr. Reynaldo Pastor and Mr. Romie G. Benolaria, to our beautiful and
handsome faculty and staff, to our wholesome juniors and co-seniors, friends, parents, ladies
and gentlemen a pleasant evening to each and everyone. A gathering like this reminds me of
almost 6 years of our high school life, a nostalgia that has always been treasured in our hearts.
It was 6 years ago when we all stepped in the corridor of Ayungon National High School without
knowledge of what would happen to us in our journey. I know most of us would agree that this
journey we spent in high school was definitely one of the best and memorable days of our life.
It was in high school that we met the best of best friends, learn to be competitive just to be one
of the top students in our class, hoped for a place in varsity team, strived for the students
council and trying to take part in school programs; activities and contests. It is also in High
school when we first experienced and feel in love – as what every teacher says “ Okay rana, sus
ko crush-crush ra bitaw “. The stages when we learn how to stumble down with failures but
eventually stood up and fight. The chapter where we learn to accept that ‘failure is part of
growing’.

In school year 2017, I can still recall the first day of school during our freshmen days. When
all of us were busy searching for our rooms in the list and there’s teacher like Mr. Regino
Villanueva who help us find are respective classrooms. When we finally entered the room we
sat on the chair we are comfortable with, looking around and seeing strange and familiar faces.
This is the time when we are silent, way to different from our murmurs, chitchatting and
laughter.

Who among us here can forget Mr. Oquendo who scolded us because we were playing
TAKYAN inside the campus. And thought us to act are age as we are not elementary students
anymore, warning us that if we do it again, he will bring us to the guidance office. There we
acted civilized.

Of course we could also not forget the Festival Dance Activity which we enjoyed so much
that we had during the MAPEH Culmination administered by Ma’am Kakay who was then our
Grade 7 MAPEH teacher. The Section Ruby that performed Panagbenga Festival who got the 1 st
place in that activity. Yours truly who joined Filipino Contest won 1 st place in district level and
3rd place during the division. Looking back on the time when we won the title of 2 nd place in
Cheer Dance Competition. And of course who would ever forget the Foundation Day that is new
to our ears and the first time we experienced it in our entire life. Truly outstanding that even if
we are just like a baby in this institution as we are freshmen, we have prove that we can
compete among other students who are ahead of us.

During our sophomore days in S.Y. 2018, During that year, when my classmate and your
batch mate Ms. RICHIE MAE ABUSO from Grade VIII-Earth under Mrs. Kareen Academia joined
Miss ANHS 2018 during foundation day and won a Social Media Queen award. And the
Mathematics Time when Mr. Vladimir Villanueva thaught as to sing our school hymn before or
after class.

Our junior days in the year 2019 were worth remembering. We experienced the so –called
“critical stage of adolescence” where our foolishness and irresponsibility got in the way of our
high school life. MRS. RONA OQUENDO our adviser in section ROSE and a Math teacher that
handles different sections had a serious bout with us, that if we cannot solve or answer the task
she give correctly we cannot go out as she want us to leave her classroom with learning. The
pride of our batch in painting or poster making JOHN MARK ARGONCILLO who won 1 st place in
division level and represented our school in the Dumaguete City. Who would forget the first
time that we witness and participated in a MATH CULMINATION were in there’s activity like
Mathematician Look a Like, Math Sayaw, Math Jingle, and other activities that build a strong
bond of relationship. The Grade 9 from our batch who got a place in each activity. The section
ROSE who win 1st Place in Math Sayaw, won 2 nd place on Math Jingle, MR. EARL JUDE EROJO
who got 3rd place on Mathematician Look a Like, and many more.

And let me bring up that, that was the year when Grade 8 Earth had a transferee from
Zamboga Sibugay that blow the whole school and most of our batch mates had a crush on.

Besides we could not forget the presentation we had during the English Subject in which we
performed ‘ ROMEO and JULIET ‘. There was also a Language art show where in we won 2 nd
place on the SPEECH CHOIR, also 2nd place on ORATION and a placer also in other contest. Over
and above all how could we forget Mr. Gemar Dayapdapan who has been a part of our life and
whom we love so much. He taught us so many things in life and shared us a wonderful
friendship. Truly, he has been a gift to us. He has been a light in our junior days. He is our friend,
teacher, let me say our sister and counsellor. We miss you Mr. Dayapdapan.

We had a great experienced that year until COVID-19 came. We cannot forget COVID-19 that
lead to us staying at home and do MODULAR or ONLINE classes as a new way of learning.

The last journey of our junior high life began in the year 2020. Were in we don’t have too
much memory to be remembered aside from the communication we had to our colleagues or
acquaintances. And maybe the best thing to remember there is the time that we share answer
to each other and the teachers who are still active to answer our concerns, until the school year
end.

Looking back year 2021 when our Senior High days begun. It is the year when COVID -19
don’t scare a lot of people anymore, instead become used to it and also due to the confidence
as being vaccinated. It is the year that everyone of us has been waiting for, the time where f2f is
available and all we have to do is choose either we do f2f or still do modular activity. But most
of us choose f2f. One of the reason is that we miss to do socialization and thanks to the man up
there that he guide and bless us letting us finish the school year without anyone harmed by the
Novel Corona Virus. And by that school year, a clean up drive activity were in some students
aside from SSG OFFICERS and PEACE OFFICERS helped resulting it to be a successful activity.
Furthermore that year Ms. and Mr. Career Guidance were carried on, we choose to have a
representative for each Strand from Grade 11-12. Recalling some of the candidates from our
batch MS. NIÑA JANE AURE, MR. ALBENJIE RODRIGUEZ, MS. DEXIE DATU, MR. CRIS DUPIO and
others not to mention.

Year 2022 and the current school year. Where the SSG adviser (Bryan Miko Cadiz) and
COMMELEC adviser (Whelan Lobrido) advocate conducting an election for new SSG officers.
The purpose of having the SSG elections is to give the students a glimpse on how an actual
electoral system operates. It will also help in cultivating a sense of nationalism, honesty, and
responsible decision making in choosing reliable and trustworthy leaders.

This is the main aim of ANHS- SSG Council Election. That was on June 2022 where the ANHS-
SSG for the first time after pandemic, conducted the Standard Election System; a sequence of
election activities from the registration to the campaign period, to the voting period, to the
canvassing of votes, to the proclamation of winners and to the induction of officers. And
resulted MR. ALJHON CABRERA as the newly elected SSG President.

WE could not forget the Buwan ng Wika activity where Mr.JOHN MARK LANGOMES won the
Best Pambansang Kasuotan ng Kalalakihan. The Galaw Pilipinas dance challenge were we all do
participated.

During the first ever culmination held in ANHS after pandemic, a culminating activity for us
Senior High Students under Teacher Ralph Germudo. That was a Contemporary, Filipino sa
Piling Larangan, Creative Non Fiction and Oral Communication Culminating Activity that we
enjoyed most. By that we become more responsible students and individuals, as we need to
managed our time and be more patient.

We also had a great time as the school open an Intramurals were some of us here show our
sports; skills and talents and a team work and strong relationship is practiced.
When our batch mate Hizel Dialogo, Bimboy Cabanag and John Kean Tiongco got gold
medals or different medals on ARNIS that was held at Dumaguete City.

And of course who would forget the successful Valentine’s Day Event organized by SSG of
ANHS. Where lot of you here send sweet messages to your crush and love ones, even had a
chance to have a date, dance and got married to them, able to show you affection or
admiration to them.

And of course we cannot forget the IMMERSION EXPERIENCE that we had. Others assigned
to LGU AYUNGON, TAYASAN, other are on WATER DISTRICT, POLICE STATION, BRGY. HALLS,
HEALTH CENTER, and DPWH. Where we are all a winner. BECAUSE OF THE LEARNING that we
EARNED.

We thanked God for this paved a way for us to become better persons. It also became an
avenue where we buried our grudges.

Ayungon National High School-Senior High School is like a stage, wherein all of us act as
actors and actresses. Sometimes we commit errors, sometimes we succeed. Our experiences as
students in this learning institution are just part of our process to become responsible citizens
to face the obstacles in life.

6 years of training, 6 years of happy and embarrassing moments but we cannot survive
without our molder, our parents, our supporters and most of all our Creator.

To our molder, our parents, supporters and most especially to our creator THANK YOU SO
MUCH!

To my dear fellow seniors, we almost come to an end of our high school life and continue till
a new beginning. Every second, every minute and every hour, tells us that we need to go out
from this memorable place. Every sunset reminds us that our unity will be vanished because
our graduation is now fast approaching. Yes, I know that even if we go away and be far from
each other we will still be one as brothers and sisters or friends.

As the saying says, “History repeats itself”, we hope to be with one another in the future.
Thank you for the special moment. This is really a walk to remember. Sorrow and in happiness
until our last breath.

Before going down the stage I want to say DESERVE NATO NI, LET US ENJOY THE REST OF THE
NIGHT!!!!!!
