FAREWELL ADDRESS

Ray Mart M. Montesclaros First Honors, Grade School Class 2011

Beloved President Ma am Annie Cynthia C. Corpin, our dear school chairman of the board of trustees, Rev. Fr. Bartolome A. Pastor. Members of the board of trutees, our academic coordinator, ma am Virginia Villanueva, Finance Head Sir Eudoxio Ocampos, our guest speaker Sr. Carmela Cabactulan, Members of the faculty and staff, beloved parents, fellow graduates, visitors, friends, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. As I look back at the 9 years stay in this institution, nine years because I started my Pre Elementary years here at STCDCFI until this very moment of my graduation day. With pride and honor I can say that I had so many experiences and achievements that the school and my parents can be proud of. No one can deny that seeking an admission in this institution when I was to enroll my nursery is like going through the eye of a needle. Going through the battery tests, interviews and presenting talents was indeed a feat because of fear of not reaching the expectations of my brother s achievements. I remember the first time I sang during the presentation of talents during the interview, you know what was the title of the song? No, it was not fireflies and it absolutely wasn t California Girls, but it was Twinkle2x Little Star! To get promoted to the next higher year, with honor I have to study hard, and learn to manage time, time to study, time for school activities and time to play, in short TIME MANGEMENT. We can t forget the moments we the graduating class have spent together, the jokes and the laughter we enjoyed, the food we shared and the tears we ve all shed. There never was a dull moment learning here, because of our dedicated teachers have seen to it that we ve get our money s worth in education. They made sure that we receive a well rounded Elementary Education, a handy work they can be proud of, especially when we compete interschool, regional s, and national s competitions and brought home the bacon of success. We had so much fun that we didn t even notice that the time, weeks and the years passed by as mere seconds, now we find ourselves on the verge of something that every student dreams of, The Graduation Day. Yes, Graduation just by hearing it you feel a little tingle inside knowing that this opens another door, another chapter to a higher education. Graduation is also a ticket to new horizons to never ending search for knowledge. And finally graduation is a responsibility, a commitment to the world and to oneself, to offer for the greater good in the service to mankind. Christian Development Center Foundation, Inc.) We are saying goodbye to our unselfish teachers who sacrifice d so much that we could get the best education, they can possible offer. Sad, because we the graduates are going our separate ways and what will remain are just memories. Joy because by the grace of God, finally we will be conferred the recognition of the job well done and a pat in the back, a handshake, parties and merry celebrations are in stored for us. Confident because as we step beyond the portals of elementary education, we are certain that we can hurdle whatever obstacles we face in High School because STCDCFI lovingly made it sure that we get the correct preparation, the desired tools and the ideal attitude for long roads ahead. In a few moments the curtains will be lowered on Scene 1 in a human drama on which we the graduates are the actors and actresses. Soon the act will be over and the entire cast will be recognized with pride and honor and we will be leaving our Alma Mater, but not before we expressed our sentiments shared by all of us. To our beloved parents we can only say thank you for no words are enough to described the feeling of gratitude we have for the great sacrifice you underwent , your reassuring words, your spiritual guidance and your commitment to pull us through in both good and bad times. To my mama and papa thank you for not allowing my grade 5 year as my last year stay in this institution for without it I wouldn t have the chance to formally express my farewell to all of you today.
