Good Day!

Ladies and gentlemen

It is my great honor and privilege to deliver this speech today giving the situation
that were in, amidst all this unfortunate circumstances may this give you hope
and joy as I closed this year’s graduation ceremony.
But before anything else, I want to take this opportunity to thank Isabela State
University Roxas-Campus for the amazing four years that I have spent in this
university. I am proud to say that this school had molded me and contributed a lot
into who and where I am today.
I still can’t believe that I am the one delivering speech today on behalf of the
graduates. Truth be told, I never, ever in my entire life expected myself to be in
this position, but still I believed that it happened for a reason.
As I graduated in high school, my parents told me to stop temporarily because
they couldn’t afford to send us my sister and I to school at the same time because
of financial problems. My parents are both farmers, went to farm all day and
work. I myself also have experienced to become a farmer, I went to farm all day,
sweating and exhausted under the heat of the sun just to earn some money for
our daily living. At that time, I realized how difficult and challenging their life was
up until now, just to provide and give us what we needed. I salute them for
sacrificing all they can for us and I am very proud and blessed that they are my
parents.
For these 2 years that I had to stop, I experienced a lot of works, I became a
farmer, a helper and a baby sitter too. It’s not easy because it was my first time
doing all that at that time, but I endured all of that in order to help my family.
I thought then that I will never be able to go back to school again but these
experiences made me realized what and how hard life is without education.
I kept in my mind to never give up and persevered my dreams, and God is so
good, I was given the chance to study again to chase my dreams. All these
challenges and experiences motivated me, and my willingness to finish my studies
contributed a lot in order to reach my goals.
God’s plan for all of us was never too late, it was always at the right moment and
at the right time.
I know I am not the only one who’d overcome adversities, all of us have our own
story to tell that is worthy of recognition, perhaps some people had it worse than
mine but I realized that no matter what your going through it will always depend
in you on how to rise and to handle all the challenges and hardships in life.
I hope that my story will inspire you and remind people that at the end of the day
there is always triumph.
My dear fellow graduates we all deserve these rewards for not giving up, we have
made it! But we cannot do all these without the people who supported, lifted and
motivated us to keep going.
Hence, on behalf of my fellow graduates, I would like to express our sincere
appreciation to all the people who have helped us.

what we envisioned but let us not be discouraged, because we are almost there,
we have passed all the academic trainings and challenges because of our hard
works, efforts and sacrifices. Now here we are, about to step up another
milestone that is waiting ahead of us.
This is not the end of our journey this is just the beginning. May we continue to
embody all the learnings Isabela State University Roxas Campus has thought us
and used them in God’s goodwill.
