Good day family, friends, to the faculty, and fellow graduates.
I feel honored on behalf of
class 2020-2021 to reflect upon our journey through JHS and think those who supported us along the way So, I’ve spent these past four years under the impression that high school is a never- ending adventure, because that’s exactly how it feels like, but I realized I was wrong, because it ends. I wish that someone had warned me that oddly enough saying goodbye to your classmates or best friends isn’t the hardest part, because to be honest it’s not goodbye, not yet anyway. How all of these people that have been in the background of your life these past four years will cease to be part of it. Well, we did it! We all accomplished one of the early milestones of our lives, we thought we would never make it. We all worked hard to get to this day and our hard work did not put into waste. We’ve already shown our commitment to personal growth through making it to this ceremony today, but soon all of us will experience another ceremony when we graduate from our personal choice of profession. Life is a journey, we don’t stop growing once we get our diplomas. Life is about growing, and being in our programs which gives each of us new opportunities to continue growing and to learn new skills that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. And we don’t have to stop there, this moving up ceremony has already shown us how capable we are on accomplishing our goals when we commit ourselves to them. I hope all of us here today can take this personal accomplishment as an example of how anything is truly possible when we put our minds to it. As we all continue on in our lives, let us take each new problem on with confidence, knowing that we have achieved great heights and are equipped with the necessary tools to tackle our futures. Over the past six years here in St. John, those of us who were short become taller, well except po sa akin. Those who were once shy have built more confidence, those who were once passive have become more aware, those of us who were once immature have become more mature. On behalf our class, I’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to our former and new teachers and administrators for your dedication, most especially during this time of new E- learning system. We haven’t always been the easiest batch to handle, but somehow you got us all this far. You steered us in the right direction when we feel lost, you have complimented us for our achievements so we could be proud of ourselves, you served not only as our academic mentors but also our moral support at times of our disappointment and frustrations. You’ve taught us more than any formal education ever could, we got out into the world with confidence and readiness because of you all. We are forever grateful, no matter what we do or wherever these feet could lead us, we promise to never forget those memories and lessons that we owe all to you. To my fellow classmates, today is an important day, as we gather here to celebrate the past four years we spent. I'll be missing our after-school hangouts, well in fact pwede ko rin naman siya ulit gawin, it's just that sa ibang tao na, mga panibagong kaibigan na magiging parte din ng buhay ko. We're about to start our journey as a fine young man and woman that will shape our future professions, please do continue chasing for your dreams and I’m always here to support you all. Lastly, I would like to thank my proud parents. To end this speech, I would like you to remember that your passion, your vision, those ideas you have inside of you there will never be a better time to chase them. So, while you're sitting there talking about what you're going to do, I don't want you to hesitate, take a risk. Mistakes, failures, and disappointments are a necessary part of your growth as a student and as a person. Walang mahirap kung willing kang tumanggap ng pagkakamali, because there are always a room for improvement at hindi yan minamadali. Again, thank you and congratulations!
