My 2 Weeks duty in Catmon Elementary School

This rotation in Catmon Elementary School was very memorable for me because I
was able to spend it with wonderful people, and because I enjoy interacting with kids,
I enjoyed it even more. Teaching with the kids was the very highlight of my
experience here. When sir Reniel announced that we would be teaching
Kindergarten students, i get excited because teaching to a lot of kids became one of
my dreams when i was in High School. That’s why when the day came to teach
them. It feel so fulfilling, knowing that you are able to teach them from the heart.
Also, It was a joyful and sweet experience but a little stressful at the same time
because we were overwhelmed with the behaviour of some students of Kindergarten
and Grade 1;Kids' moods were ever-changing and some behaviour was really
unexpected. Even though there were times when students became distracted,
Overall, I believe the experience had a special meaning for the children, as it does
for most activities. I could sense their enthusiasm and eagerness to participate. They
are still quite pure, and as such provide you with the most honest feedback, both
positive and negative.

This rotation has become one of my favorites; every duty day was filled with
laughter and joy because we became at ease around Sir Reniel. It is as if he has
become our safe person (as a professor wahahaha) because we are able to express
ourselves without being so formal and awkward; he listens to our rants about the
school and other CI's; he always makes jokes which made our rotation fun; he
shares some part of his life story that has some learnings to get; he teaches us in a
way that we will not feel so scared to do a skill, such as inserting IV Cannula; he
gives us the best compliment and expresses appreciation to us that can make our
day and motivate us in every way. <3

I'm happy because I know I've developed a lot of skills because he assigned
us so many tasks. One day you are a nurse, the next day you are a school teacher,
and the next day you are a reporter and a dancer. (HAHAHA) I'll never forget this
duty experience with Sir Reniel. Kidding aside, it was a one of a kind experience for
which I am grateful to Sir. Thank you for making a fun, safe, and positive learning
environment for us. We learned so much from you that we will put to use in our
nursing careers.Thank you for being a reminder of why I chose this profession and
for being such an amazing CI to us.
