PERFORMANCE
FRI 13TH DECEMBER
HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!
Pumpkins, bats, black cats, and witches decorated our classes for the past
couple of weeks, and our students waited patiently for the day to arrive.
Their costumes have been planned and they can't wait for everyone to see it!
And finally, it was time for Halloween (and trick-or-treat as our younger
students would recall!).

This year's Halloween activities were extra sweet! NK hosted a special

Treasure Hunt with the Primary department. Each NK class were paired up
with a Primary class and together they had to go on a treasure hunt to find
pieces of a craft. The buddies were ready and the race to the playground
was on!
Who would have thought that we had so many Sherlock Holmes in our
school?

The students returned to the classroom to make the craft with their buddy.

The buddy system once again proved itself. The primary students were so
caring with the young ones and kept praising them. On the other side, the
NK students made great use of this special opportunity to interact with and
look up to their older friends.

Thank you, Primary students and teachers, for spending the morning with
us, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

GINGER FARM FIELD TRIP

On Friday 11th October our Primary Department took
a trip to Ginger Farm.

Experiential learning is a large part of SISB education

and we are able to teach and use skills that are hard
to learn in a class environment.

We also manage to really work on areas of our

Learner profiles such as risk taking, being principled
and being active inquirers!

IB WORLD SCHOOL
I would like to take a minute to congratulate
our sister campus, SISB Pracha Uthit, on their
confirmation as an IB world school running the
Diploma Programme starting from August
2020. Having completed the IBDP course I
know just how much work it has taken to pass
the extremely rigorous evaluation and
accreditation process.

Here in Chiangmai, we aim to ensure that we are

also teaching to these high standards. A large
number of our teaching staff have just completed
their IB enhanced PYP training which gives them
an in-depth insight in to inquiry based learning and
how it can be implemented within any curriculum.

We recently announced our intention to open

our secondary school in August 2020 allowing
current (and future) students continuity in
their education and ensuring that the high
standards we achieve with our students can be
continued into secondary education. Plans are
well underway for Grade 7 and also to ensure
Secondary is developed alongside the model
and high standards set in Pracha Uthit. We are
extremely excited about this next phase in the
schools development and will ensure you are
kept up to date with any and all
developments.
