The entire team of Stars and Stripes Childcare Centre welcome you back to school
for the second term of 2023/2024 Academic Session.
We trust that your Christmas and new year break was refreshing and enjoyable. We
are glad to have you back as we look forward to a productive and prosperous new
year.

Parent teacher conference; we value the collaboration between parents and
teachers to ensure the success of our students. This is also an opportunity to meet
with your child/children’s teacher, discuss their progress and address any concerns
you may have.
Returning staff members; we are delighted to welcome back Mrs. Happiness
Emmanuel and Mrs. Precious Chigonim back on our team. Ms Happiness will be
joining us as our grade 4 homeroom teacher and Ms Precious as the homeroom
teacher of grade 1 sapphire [the class has been divided into diamond and sapphire].
They bring a wealth of experience that will sure make a positive impact on our
learners.
First fee drive day; we appreciate your prompt responses this term nevertheless
we urge the parents who are yet to do the needful to do so to enable us pay salaries,
taxes, maintenance and other necessary bills on time

(Diamond Bank) Stars and Stripes Childcare Centre.

Home economics practical day; our learners will be carrying out food and nutrition
practical and exhibiting the work of their hands. Kindly provide our learners with all
the required materials against this event. Your presence and patronage will be very
much appreciated.
Spirit week; a spirit week helps to boost team morale, and foster a sense of
community and unity among students. This term we will be going the way of
academia. We shall be having a spelling bee tournament, a debate standoff, a math
combat, science experiments and games day. There will be trophies and medals to
be won. For our nursery section, it will be dress like a teacher, pajama day, odd socks
day, character day and games. Kindly provide all necessary costumes.

ACADEMICS:
Teaching and learning have commenced. Our learners are exposed to different
learning methodologies and the result is quite impressive. We urge our parents to
reinforce school work and help learners study as well as turn in homework’s and
projects as at when due.

Punctuality; we encourage parents to prepare our learners and drop them off on
time. Morning assembly begins at 7.40. The assembly ground isn’t just for praying
and singing, it’s also a learning period. Please help our learners be punctual.

SCHOOL FEE DRIVE

There will be school fee drive on Monday 29th January, 2024. Please parents should
do their possible best to comply. If you have paid please disregard this information.

COMMUNICATION:
All school related messages will be conveyed via word of mouth, notes, Whatsapp,
Emails, calls or Text Messages. Kindly keep us informed if/when there is a mobile
number change.
Personal hygiene and neatness; kindly ensure that our learners are neatly, smartly
and correctly dressed. Replace uniforms that are old or outgrown. Old socks and
shoes should be fixed or replaced. Do well to groom their hair and nails. As well as
their skins and mouths care.
Please note that learners that are wrongly dressed will be sent back home.

EXTRAS
Kindly include a napkin in your child’s lunch bag every day.
Parents of pre nursery and nursery children should include an extra pair of clothes
and under pants.
CONCLUSION
We want to reassure you of our commitment in the pursuance of the vision and
mission of the school, we enjoin you to co-operate with us in the achievement of
these laudable goals.
