Annotated Bibliography-The point of the article is to inform the reader of the the types
of crops that are grown in Hawaii, and the history behind how they came to be grown in Hawaii.
The article gave a short history of the diffusion and growth of sugarcane, macadamia nuts,
pineapple, and coffee. The source was useful because it informed me of the types of plants that
are grown in the neighboring countries. This knowledge allowed me to determine what kinds of
plants my country was able to grow. The information is reliable and the information is not biased
because the information is fact, not opinion. The goal of the source is to explain how and why
the Hawaiian Island grow certain crops. The source was helpful because it helped me determine
which types of crops could be grown in countries with similar climates and soil. The source
changed my idea of which crops grown in places that have similar climate, soil, and vegetation to
my country. It changed how I related my country to neighboring countries.

Annotated Bibliography-The point of the article is to inform the reader of the authors
opinion on which Hawaiian foods are the best. The article covers what the seven most popular
Hawaiian dishes are, and how they are prepared. The article is about which Hawaiian dishes the
author feels a tourist in Hawaii should taste. The source was useful in determining popular dishes
of neighboring countries. The information is reliable but it is very biased because it is the
authors opinion of the food. The goal of the source is to inform the reader of some of the
popular Hawaiian dishes. The source was helpful in determining what type of food the citizens of

my country would eat. The source helps me to better relate my countrys food to that of
neighboring countries. The source informed me of the types of food that Pacific Islanders eat,
most of which I has never heard of.
