    Erik Weber and Sandy Weber

    Erik Weber is a practicing attorney in San Diego and a gifted long distance runner. Such accomplishments
    once seemed impossible because Erik has Autism. When he was 5, his mother was told he would never
    progress cognitively beyond 18 months. Sandy Weber says she was able to work with her son because
    she let go of the idea of a perfect child and learned to embrace the child she had.
