INT. SUNKEN HOTEL

- EVENING

Thunder booms in the distance.

The LOST BOYS (DAVID, STAR, LADDIE, DWAYNE e.t.c) and
MICHAEL sit in the SUNKEN HOTEL around a bin fire waiting
for MARKO to arrive with dinner.
He does.
MARKO
Feeding time! Come and get it boys!
MARKO walks towards the group and hands DAVID a box of food,
Just as MICHAEL and STAR share a knowing glance. DAVID
peruses the food, then opens it.
DAVID
Chinese! Good choice.
Excitedly, MARKO begins to hand out boxes of the Chinese
food to the LOST BOYS. DAVID offers his to MICHAEL.
DAVID
Guests first.
MICHAEL waves it away with his hand.
MICHAEL
No, no thanks.
DAVID pushes the issue.
DAVID
You don't like rice? Tell me
MICHAEL, how could a billion
Chinese people be wrong?
The lost boys chortle at this.
DAVID
Come on.
MICHAEL takes the box of noodles from DAVID and nervously
begins to eat them.
DAVID observes for a while.
DAVID
How're those maggots?
MICHAEL stares at him, Gives a look of "Are you serious?",
stupefied.

DAVID
Maggots MICHAEL, You're eating
Maggots. How do they taste?
The LOST BOYS laugh with DAVID, MICHAEL joins in
suspiciously. He looks down at the box of Chinese food.
They are Maggots.
MICHAEL spits his food out and throws the box to the floor
in disgust. The LOST BOYS laugh at him in communion.
STAR turns to them.
STAR
Leave him alone.
They laugh again but it dies out. MICHEAL is still spitting
the food out.
The smile leaves DAVID's face. MICHAEL coughs out the last
of the Maggots, opens his eyes and stares in disbelief at
the Rice on the floor.
The thunder clashes sympathetically.
He picks Rice from his teeth. He looks visibly sickened.
DAVID
Sorry about that. No hard feelings
huh?
MICHAEL, shrugs it off.
MICHAEL
No.
DAVID passes him another box of food. MICHAEL doesn't take
them, only peering into the box.
DAVID
Why don't you try some noodles?
MICHAEL is disgusted.
MICHAEL
They're worms.
The LOST BOYS laugh some more.
DAVID looks himself.
DAVID
Whadd'ya mean they're Worms?!

DAVID dips his chopsticks in and eats the food.

MICHAEL
Don't eat...
Before he can finish his sentence, DAVID has consumed the
Worms and is staring at MICHAEL
DAVID
They're only noodles MICHAEL.
