If the player answers correctly, the player is then
moved to first base.

The benefits of this activity compared to the actual classroom activity is that it engages students in
activity that is more likely to capture the learners attention. The students are shown the time in which the
problem can be solved with each problem being solved in an equal amount of time. This will push
students to not spend an tremendous amount of time on a single problem, a skill that is needed as the
STAAR test and other assessments have time limitations now. This activity also gives the player multiple
opportunities to answer the question correctly before counting it incorrect, while with the classroom
activity is enforced by the teacher checking at the end of the activity , a single chance to get the problem
correct.
The disadvantage of this activity is that the same time is given for each problem. The time does
not roll over to problems students answered incorrectly.
