senior category (8 & 9)

Round One word marathon

Guidelines

1. The answer, on the first attempt, should be given in 30 seconds and the correct answer will
get you 10 marks. Question will be passed to the next team if a team fails to answer within
the allotted time. If the second team gives the correct answer within 20 seconds to the
passed question will get 5 marks and the third team onwards 3 marks to the correct answer
within 20 seconds.
2. One team will get two questions to answer.
3. The meaning of a word will be screened.
4. There will be four options and you are going to choose the correct option that contains the
correct spelling.
5. No negative marks and no elimination.

Round Two follow the luck

Guidelines

1. The answer, on the first attempt, should be given in 30 seconds and the correct answer will
get you 10 marks. Question will be passed to the next team if a team fails to answer within
the allotted time. If the second team gives the correct answer within 20 seconds to the
passed question will get 5 marks and the third team onwards 3 marks to the correct answer
within 20 seconds.

3. Phonetic symbols and the pronunciation of the word will be displayed. You need to identify
the correct word and spell it correctly. Blanks to the proportion to the letters of the word
will help you to get the exact word.
4. Alphabets of the word should be pronounced only once.
5. There will be no negative marks but elimination.
6. The last two low scored teams will be eliminated. In case of a draw a jackpot question will be
asked to both the teams. The question will be passed if the first team fails to answer.
Marking remains the same as mentioned in number one.

Round Three magic of look-alike

Guidelines
 1. The meaning of the word will be displayed along with two or three words of similar
meaning. You need to find out the exact word with the correct spelling.
2. Blanks to the proportion to the letters of the word will help you to get the exact word.
3. The answer, on the first attempt, should be given in 30 seconds and the correct answer will
get you 10 marks. Question will be passed to the next team if a team fails to answer within
the allotted time. If the second team gives the correct answer within 20 seconds to the
passed question will get 5 marks and the third team onwards 3 marks to the correct answer
within 20 seconds.
4. One team will get two questions to answer.
5. There will be no negative marks but elimination.

get you 10 marks. Question will be passed to the next team if a team fails to answer within
the allotted time. If the second team gives the correct answer within 20 seconds to the
passed question will get 5 marks and the third team onwards 3 marks to the correct answer
within 20 seconds.

Round Five spot me

Guidelines

1. A picture of either a place or a person or an object with some clues will be displayed on the
screen. You need to identify the place/person/object and spell it correctly.
2. Blanks to the proportion to the letters of the word will help you to get the exact word.
3. The correct answer will get you 10 marks. Question will not be passed. One team will get
only one question to answer.
4. There will be negative marks and elimination. The wrong answer will cause you a lose of 10
marks.
 5. The lowest team will be eliminated. In case of a draw a jackpot question will be asked to
both the teams. The question will be passed if the first team fails to answer. Marking
remains the same as mentioned in 3 and 4.

Round Six wish power

Guidelines

1. There will be four teams for the final round. Four different topics will be displayed. A chit
system will decide the order.
2. Each topics contains five questions. The correct answer gets you 10 marks and the wrong
answer causes you a lose of 10 marks.
3. The quiz master will pronounce a word and you need to spell the word in 30 seconds.
4. The team(s) that stands/stand first will be the winner.
