20 Questions

Preparation
1. This game has 20 possible questions. The question number indicates the
point value of the question.
2. Open the blank template. Each text item can by modified by selecting the
text box and typing in new information.
3. Go through each page and type in the desired questions and answers.
Easier questions should have lower point values; more difficult questions
should have higher point values.
Playing the Game
1. Organize students into teams that are comparable in the number and ability
of players.
2. Each team should select a Captain who will state the team’s final answer.
The first answer given by the Captain cannot be changed.
3. Students rotate in answering the questions. They select the question
number to answer.
4. The teacher will verify answers as correct or incorrect. If a team’s answer is
correct, the team will be awarded the appropriate number of points. If the
answer is incorrect, no points are awarded.
5. Questions alternate from team to team whether the question was answered
correctly or not.
6. The teacher should write on the board each team’s name, points earned, and
the total number of points after each question.
7. The game ends when all questions have been answered or the allotted time
is up.
8. The team with the highest score wins the game.
Suggestions
1. This game is ideal as a review prior to a test.
2. Two game boards are recommended if the class has more than 20 students.
3. Select a student to serve as scorekeeper if the class has an uneven number
of students.
4. As an alternative, an equal number of points can be assigned to all
questions, which are arranged randomly rather than by order of difficulty.
5. Test the game and all slides before using this game in the classroom.
