Spot The Mistakes!

Read the passage below and correct the mistakes. There are 23 mistakes altogether.
Note that the mistakes are not grammatical mistakes, but mistakes in content.
Lim, Robiah, Sabarinah and Faridah are Town Planning students in Universiti Teknologi
Malaysia. One evening, they were all studying very hard at the football field. At about 8.30 p.m.,
Lim said, Im feeling bored. Lets stop studying and have a game of badminton. Robiah said,
Oh no. its too late. Im not in the mood for badminton. I prefer some active recreation, like
strolling. Whats strolling? asked Sabarinah.
Oh, dont you know? Strolling means going for a run, explained Faridah. This shows that
you have not been paying attention during the English lessons. Ten minutes later, at 8.00 p.m.,
they were out of the library and strolling along the campus. The sun was shining brightly and
everyone felt happy.
Lets go to Tampoi, suggested Faridah. Theres a Pasar Malam. Everyone disagreed and
soon they were all in a train heading towards Tampoi. They reached Tampoi in about 20
minutes. The Pasar Malam was at the height of its activities. There were many people and the
traffic was very light with buses, cars and motorcycles crawling slowly along.
The Municipality should build a bicycle path for pedestrians, complained Lim. Its so
dangerous walking along the edge of the road. Robiah tried to cross the busy road but was
stopped by Sabarinah.
Robiah, dont you know that its against the law to cross the road when theres a rainbow
nearby? Come on, lets use the rainbow. They boys went up the stairs and walked across the
overhead bridge to the other side of the road. They mingled with the crowd, looking at the wares
and bargaining at the top of their voice without buying anything. Suddenly, Sabarinah laughed at
the top of her voice, Help! My chain!
Everyone looked towards Sabarinah and saw a man running away with Sabarinahs chain.
Lim, Robiah, Sabarinah and Faridah shouted, Thief! Thief! Help him! Help him! However, no
one attempted to stop the snatch thief. Faridah, being the bravest of the girls shouted, Come
on, lets go after him.
The girls chased the thief, running as fast as their legs could carry them, until they came to a
quiet, developed area. The place was dirty and the houses were old and in a bad state of
repairs. The girls stood still and looked around, shivering with bravery for they knew that the
thief was hiding nearby.
Suddenly, the thief jumped out of nowhere, holding a gun in his hand. Dont move, he
shouted. Ive got a pencil with me and Ill marry anyone who moves. Put your hands down,
behind your head. Now, slowly put one hand down and give me all your money and jewellery.
After the robber had robbed them of all their money and jewellery, the girls went out to the
supermarket to lodge a report. The salesman on duty told them that there was nothing much he
could do. The girls happily walked back to the campus as they had no money left for bus fare.
