Abstract

A Study on the Characteristics and


Understanding of Information Human
Rights of Korean Social Network Services
(SNS) Users

Today, social network services (SNS) users are increasing rapidly. And recently, SNS
such as Facebook.com, Myspace.com, and Twitter.com, have created new political,
economic and social relations in the cyberspace and the real world. Surprisingly,
Facebook.com users exceeded 500 million people worldwide. This study aims to analyze
the actual conditions and information rights of SNS users, through survey analysis of
Korean SNS users. Through data from an internet survey, this study analyses social and
demographic characteristics and understanding of information human rights. This study has
used quantitative methodology. This argument provides the important key in understanding
the characteristics and information human rights of SNS users.
Key Words : social network services(SNS), information human rights, accountability,
self-control of information.
