The Czech word for Robot

Weve been afraid of the robot uprising as long as weve had
the word robot, a word that made its way into English from
Czech in the 1920s. A robotnik is a slave;robota, forced labor.
But it was by way of a play, Rossums Universal Robots
(R.U.R.), that the anglicized robot came to us as meaning a
man-like machine.

The Definition of a Robot

A machine capable of carrying out a

complex series of actions automatically,
especially one programmable by a
computer.

Mars Rover made in 1996

Lucas Delsavio was the

man that build the mars
rover and he also
worked for nasa.

What is the purpose of the Mars Rover?

to see if Mars ever could have supported

small life forms called microbes...and if
humans could survive there someday!

How the Mars Rover works.

The Mars Rover is a car-sized, six-wheeled robot destined
for Gale Crater on Mars. In addition to super-human senses
that help us understand Mars as a habitat for life, an Rovers
parts are similar to what a human would need to explore
Mars (body, brains, eyes, arm, legs, etc.). Check it out

Ethical Concerns
The Mars Rover Revolutionised research towards studying
planets like Mars.

But the bad thing is sometimes it can malfunction because

like its a robot...
