Adverb of manner
Adverbs of manner tell us how something
happens. They are usually placed after the
main verb or after the object.
Examples:
1. He swims well,(after the main verb)
2. He plays the flute beautifully. (after the
object)

Note
Often these adverbs are formed by adding -ly to the end of an adjective.
Adjectives ending -l add -ly ; careful-carefully.
Adjectives ending -y change to -ily ; lucky-luckily
Adjectives ending -ble change to -bly ; responsible-responsibly

Be careful
The adverb should not be put between the verb and
the object.

Examples:
1. He ate greedily the chocolate cake [incorrect]

2. He ate the chocolate cake greedily [correct]
