Purpose:
Directions:
1. Using this form as a template, develop a work plan for each goal identified.
A. Interpersonal (Qualitative)
To be more focussed during the match, so that I would be able to track the shuttlecock better.
This means that I wouldnt be easily disoriented in-game.
B. Performance (Quantitative)
To be able to counter smashes, and nettings, which means that I also need to be able to move much more faster.
This means that I need to improve in hitting techniques, such as being able to hit harder, and so that I would be able to move faster to intercept the
shuttlecock.

Performance
Evidence of Success for both interpersonal and performance. (What strategies were used to enhance interpersonal skills and what is your evidence for
success? )
Interpersonal:
For this activity, I started planning my practices based on the techniques that I have researched in step 1. The techniques that I learned were to breathe
deeply, and to drink water. I also learned that I sometimes need to take short rests to catch my breathe in game. Those were the techniques that I decided to
be most effective in helping me remain focus. The rest of the steps in my planner are based on step 1. For example, on steps 1 and 2, I started to practice
the techniques while playing a slow-paced game. These first two steps helped me to utilise the techniques I learned in-game. For example, whenever I start
to feel light-headed, I would breathe deeply. On these steps, I managed to stay focus much longer. Even though in the end of the game I became zonedout, I still managed to stay focus much longer. On my third step, I chose to continue practicing the techniques that I learned in a faster-paced game. This
helped me to be able to remain focus in much longer periods, as it trains me to remain focussed and alert. On my third game, I managed to defeat Hansson
and Jaycob on a 2 vs 1 game in a medium-paced game. On my third step, I started to be able to remain much more focussed. On step four, I played in a
complete game. This step helped me to use all the techniques that I learned on my previous games to use. On the final game, I managed to remain focus
throughout the game, and I managed to keep track of the shuttlecock.
Crit B: ii. analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of a plan based on the outcome.
My inter-personal plan was quite effective. When I begun playing badminton this quarter, I wouldnt be able to stay focus for more than 15 minutes. At the
end of the quarter (steps 3 and 4), I was able to remain focused the whole game. I know this because I would become clumsy whenever I loose focus,
which causes me to mishit shuttlecocks often.. I wouldnt be able to move quickly whenever I loose focus. However, on the latter games, I managed to
keep track of the shuttlecock better, which thus allowed me to hit the shuttlecocks well, without missing my hits. On my final game, I also tried my best to
keep my breathing steady, and it allowed me to remain focus throughout the whole game. I knew this because I was able to determine where the
shuttlecocks were going to land, even though I missed a lot of hits. Overall, however, I think that I was able to improve a lot in playing badminton, since I
was able to intercept more shuttlecocks than I did before the activity. I was able to intercept the shuttlecocks because I was able to remain focussed, thus
allowing me to move faster.
Performance:
My personal plan was also quite effective. Even though I knew how to counter nettings and smashes, I didnt know the proper techniques to do so before
this activity. Before the activity, I would miss a lot of nettings, and miss nearly all of the smashes. However, at the end of the quarter, I managed to counter
most nettings. Even though I wasnt able to counter some smashes, I think that I would be able to counter more smashes with more training. I know that I
improved a lot since I was able to move much faster, and because I rarely get mishits after the activity. Before the activity, I wouldnt be able to move as
fast as I did afterwards (in terms of both hand movement and leg movement). I was also able to hit harder, and I even was able to land a few smashes
during the third game (even though smashing wasnt part of my goals). However, I wasnt able to perform well during the last game. My dog bit me the
previous day, and my wounds were still fresh. My wounds prevented me from having a proper grip on the badminton racket. Without a proper grip, I
wasnt able to perform the hitting techniques that I learned effectively, which caused me to miss hit a lot of shuttlecocks, even though they were easy hits.
However, I tried quite hard, and I think that I did quite well. I think that I was able to improve a lot after this activity in terms of reflexes, movement, and in
countering smashes and nettings.
