Functional Neural Circuits

Fall 2010 seminar (BISC 462), Sarah Bottjer

This seminar class will focus on anatomical and functional organization of neural circuits
in vertebrate brains and how they control perception, learning, and behavior.

Readings from the primary literature will draw on a broad array of model systems and
concentrate on experimental attempts to understand mechanisms by which specific
neural circuits achieve their adaptive function. Students will make regular oral
presentations and prepare written summaries.

TUESDAY’s 5-7 pm, HNB 120 (Small Conference Room)
