Dear Parents:

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Last week the kids celebrated the
Beautiful letter B with BEADS! They
read about BUGS and BUTTERFLIES
and had lots of fun learning and doing
crafts !

Literacy Inquiry:

We are practicing with the formation of letter

P, creating letter P porcupines and paper
plate pirate craft and many more fun
activities. This week we are introducing the
sight word LIKE as well as reviewing all our
sight words in morning messages and guided
reading.

Math Inquiry:

In math, the kids will be learning about

measuring different things using non-standard
units. (like markers, blocks, paper clips,etc.)

Unit of Inquiry:

Central Idea: The interdependence of

insects and other living things impact our
environment. This week we will continue
learning the life cycle of a butterfly and
inquire about the praying mantis.
