    Blogging Buddies
    This week we are going to begin a
    project called Blogging Buddies. Each rst grader will be paired up with an education student taking the class Early Childhood Curriculum, Methods, and Materials taught by Professor Baker at Concordia University Texas. The purpose of this project will give the rst graders an audience for writing and the university students the opportunity to observe rst hand the progress that early childhood children make as they progress through the levels of writing. Each Monday the rst graders will send a message to their buddy. Sometime during the week they will receive a response. The following Monday the rst graders will respond. We will be using a wiki that has privacy settings that only allows the students in the class, Professor Baker and myself access to the comments. Professor Baker and I will be monitoring the content that is being sent. On Friday, September 9th we will be going on a eld trip to Concordia to meet our buddies! Please check your childs OK Notebook for the permission slip that includes more information. I am very excited about this learning opportunity for the students, both big and little! If you have questions about this project please ask!
