1 Q: Who are the characters in the story? Describe each in one sentence.
A: Mr. White- he is the father of Herbert and husband of Mrs. White, he
makes a wish to the paw that is brought by Sergeant-Major Morris.
Mrs. White- the mother of Herbert and the wife of Mr. White, she is
the one who told Mr. White to use the other two wishes to make
Herbert back.
Herbert White- the son of Mr. and Mrs. White, he died due to the
machinery accident.
Sergeant- Major Morris- he is a friend of the whites who arrives for
a visit and the one who introduced about the monkeys paw.
Maw and Meggins- the one who told to Mr. and Mrs. White about
Herberts accident.
2 Q: In five (5) sentences, write the plot summary of the story
A: On a dark and stormy night, the three members of the White family
are in the house, then Sergeant Major Morris, the familys friend came
to visit them and introduced a monkeys paw. He said that this can
make a man to have three wishes. So Mr. White wished to have two
hundred pounds as Herbert wants. But in return, Herberts life was the
payment for his wish. Herbert was the only child that they have so Mrs.
White told Mr. White to use the other wish for the return of his son
Herbert.
3 Q: What did you learn from the story? Answer in five (5) sentences
A: I learned from the story that think before you wish anything. Always
be careful on what you are wishing for because you might have the
worst outcome for your wish. If we do any actions without thinking you
might fall. Remember that in every action, there is an equal and
opposite reaction. And dont let money replaced your child, because it
is so important to you.
