1. Q: Who are the characters in the story? Describe each in one sentence.
A: Mathilde Loisel- she was the one who lost the diamond necklace
and also the reason why she and her husband suffered.
Monsieur Loisel husband of Mathilde, helps her wife to pay the
debt for the necklace.
Madame Forestier- Mathildes friend and the owner of the lost
diamond necklace.
2. Q: In five (5) sentences, write the plot summary of the story
A: Madame Loisel was a women who has no clothes, no jewels but she
has rich friend and a husband who is working in the Ministry of
Education. One Evening, Monsieur Loisel her husband has an envelope
containing an invitation for a great occasion. Instead of being excited
she refused it because she has nothing wear, then her husband tell her
to borrow a jewel from her rich friend Madame Forestier and she
borrow the most beautiful necklace that her friend has. Then the day of
the party arrived, she enjoy it very well, she left four oclock in the
morning and notice that the necklace is gone, her husband didnt
believe her and searched it anywhere but they didnt find it. Madame
Loisel and Monsieur Loisel suffered for ten years just to pay thirty-four
thousand francs for the necklace and Madame Forestier tell them that
the necklace was only an imitation.
3. Q: What did you learn from the story? Answer in five (5) sentences
A: I learn from the story that be contented on what you have. Just like
Mathilde she was a women who is not contented on what she has in
life thats why she borrow a necklace and lost it and became a reason
for them to suffered. It is not important that dont look like a rich
women, the important is you will accept the fact that you are not as
rich as the other people. And you dont have the things that they
have. So you dont have to keep pace on them.
