History :
Before starting my respective topic I will introduce in front of you short history of
Emotional intelligence;
The term Emotional intelligence was first coined by two psychologists “Peter
Salovey” and “John Mayer” in 1990, they defined it as;
“The ability to monitor one's own and others' feelings and emotions, to
discriminate among them and to use this information to guide one's thinking and
actions."
In 1995, that term reappeared in the book “Emotional Intelligence” which was
written by “Daniel Goleman” a “Science journalist and psychologist” and also
regarded as bestseller of that year. After the publishing of that book “ Emotional
Emotional Intelligence
Intelligence” become the most debated topic of that year. In that book “Daniel
Goleman” defined the Emotional Intelligence as;
“A capacity for recognising our own and others' feelings, for motivating
ourselves, and for managing our emotions, both within ourselves and in our
relationships.”
Definition:
Simply we can define Emotional Intelligence as;
