Emotional Intelligence Relationship With Anxiety Levels In


Entering the Civil Service Retirement In SKPD
Sumenep Regency Year 2017
Various changes that occur in the elderly can lead to anxiety if the question
is not able to adapt well so that it can be a problem for the elderly will be a
problem especially emotional disturbances.This study aims to determine the
relationship of emotional intelligence with the level of anxiety on civil servants to
retire at SKPD Sumenep 2017.
The method used is the method of analytic research with cross sectional
approach with simple random sampling technique. Total sample of 40 civil
servants will retire. The data were obtained using a questionnaires and interviews
was analyzed using spearman rank statistical test with significance level of 0,05.
The results showed that the emotional intelligence of civil servants have
high emotional intelligence as many as 28 respondents (70%) and anxiety levels
normal retirement age or not worried as much as 32 respondents (80%).
Spearman Rank Test results obtained ( = 0,000 < = 0,01) so that H 0 is
rejected, which means that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence
and anxiety levels in the civil service retirement In SKPD Sumenep.
This study can be used as positive input for Civil Servants (PNS) for
quieter and help reduce anxiety. It can also help to avoid the anxiety facing
retirement. Someone who has a high emotional intelligence, will be able to reduce
its anxiety, especially when going to face retirement .
