Lay out all of your supplies.

Decide which Dimensional Elements letters you will use with each block. You do not
need the letter “O” because we will be using a round picture with cardstock behind it to
represent this letter.

“L” Block:
1. Trace “L” on the striped paper. We will use the backside of the striped
paper which is Hollyhock.
2. Cut out the “L” and adhere it to the Dimensional Element using the Liquid
Glass.
3. I used the Olive marker on the edges of the “L” so you couldn’t see the
chipboard.
4. Set this letter aside.
5. Cut out a 4”x4” block of the floral b/t paper. You can ink up with edges
with the Hollyhock stamp pad if you like the distressed look.
6. Place the b/t paper under the 4’x4” block and the letter “L” on top. Make
sure you have the block facing the way you would like. I make it so that
the top of the block says “Close To My Heart” whenever possible.
7. Position your 3 ½” x 2 ½” picture on the floral b/t paper.
8. Adhere the picture to the b/t paper with the Tombow Mono Adhesive.
9. Embellish the letter “L” if you would like. (I used the green in the Ricrac
Collection and some Organdy Ribbon--pink and white.)
10. Use the Mini Glue Dots to adhere the “L” to the front of the block.
11. Use small dots of Liquid Glass in each corner of the b/t paper to adhere it
to the back of the block. (Please note: If you use the Liquid Glass on the
picture, it will make it look funny. Just use the Liquid Glass on the paper,
not the picture!)

“O” Block:
1. Cut a 3”x3” block of striped b/t paper.
2. Ink the edges with the Olive stamp pad if you prefer.
3. Cut a 2 ½” circle (diameter) from the Sunny Yellow cardstock.
4. Ink the edges of the circle with the Hollyhock stamp pad if you prefer.
5. Adhere the round picture (1 7/8” diameter) to the Sunny Yellow
circle…this is your letter “O”!
6. Adhere the “O” to the striped b/t paper.
7. Use small dots of Liquid Glass in each corner of the b/t paper to
adhere it to the back of the block.
8. Tie the pink from the Ricrac collection around the block. (I used Mini
Glue Dots to hold it in place on each side.)
9. Add any other embellishments you’d like. (I have a round clip on
mine.)
“V” Block:
1. Cut a 2”x2” block of Hollyhock from the back side of striped b/t paper.
2. Ink edges with the Olive stamp pad if you prefer. Then set this b/t paper
aside.
3. Ink the Dimensional Element “V” with the VersaMark Embossing Stamp
Pad.
4. Emboss with Sunny Yellow Embossing Powder and the craft heater.
5. I embossed using several layers of embossing powder to get it to look
really smooth.
6. After it’s dry, embellish the “V” as you would like. (I used the Olive
Waxy Flax and the little heart from the Friendship Dangles.)
7. Position the letter “V” on top of the block, the 1 ¼”x1 ¼” picture and the
hollyhock square.
8. Use the Mini Glue Dots to adhere the “V” on the top of the block.
9. Adhere the picture to the proper spot on the Hollyhock b/t paper.
10. Use small dots of Liquid Glass in each corner of the b/t paper to adhere it
to the back of the block.

“E” Block:
1. Trace “E” on the striped b/tpaper.
2. Cut out the “E” and adhere it to the Dimensional Element using the Liquid
Glass.
3. I used the Olive marker on the edges of the “E” so you couldn’t see the
chipboard.
4. Embellish the “E” if you would like. (I used White Organdy ribbon.)
5. Set this letter aside.
6. Cut out a 2”x 3 ½” block of the floral b/t paper. We will use the back,
which is Sweet Leaf.
7. Ink the edges with the Hollyhock stamp pad if you prefer.
8. Position the letter “E” on top of the block, the 1 ¼”x 2 ½” picture and the
Sweet Leaf b/t square.
9. Use the Mini Glue Dots to adhere the “E” on the top of the block.
10. Adhere the picture to the proper spot on the Sweet Leaf b/t paper.
11. Use small dots of Liquid Glass in each corner of the b/t paper to adhere it
to the back of the block.
