Today, gender inequality isnt that big of a surprise. In everyday life, women arent paid
nearly as much as men are in the working places, and men arent given a bachelors degree
nearly as easily as women do. Gender stereotypes are usually the reason for this unfair
treatment. For example, they say women are naturally a bit weaker than men, which is true. But
this stereotype is taken to much higher extremes and women usually dont get into certain jobs
requiring acting people although many women exercise as much as others. Gender equality is
even shown in games, where women arent allowed to enter in most teams where there are all
boys and women need to go into gender specific teams where women are allowed to play. On
top of that, gender specific teams are very rare, which makes it even harder for women to play
sports. Men, on the other hand, have it a bit easier. They, as I had stated earlier, are paid more
than women, which is why men are usually the primary earner in the average U.S. family. They
are invited more freely into sports teams and have much wider variety of jobs to take. However,
they are less likely to even graduate from college! Women are much more oftenly graduating
from college than men, which is definitely unfair. Therefore, I believe that we should stand
against gender inequality. Many people have declared all humans as equal in this world; why
should we stop now? Every one of us are the same human beings, so we should be seen as
equal people with equal human rights and social rights.
