Darke County Hardship Plan

In accordance with the Cash Assistance manual, OWF assistance in Darke County may
be extended from the time limits for the hardship reasons listed below. The OWF
assistance group will be informed of an expiration date of the extension which will not
exceed three months. The assistance group will also be informed that it can apply for an
additional extension.

The DCJFS may approve a hardship extension beyond the 36 or 60

month time limit for an assistance group that the DCJFS has failed ever
to make any assignment according to the self-sufficiency plans.

Consideration of extraordinary circumstances where the DCJFS Director

or his/her designee determines that additional OWF benefits are an
integral part of joint case planning with other departments or agencies
that will lead to self-sufficiency for the assistance group.
