Partnership in the Design-Build-Operate-Transfer format in Sports

The IL&FS Kerala Stadium is a visionary International Standard Cricket
and Football stadium, being developed by the IL&FS Group through a
public private partnership with the National Games Secretariat (NGS).
IL&FS is a leading infrastructure development and financial services
company in India, promoted by domestic & international banks and
financial institutions. IL&FS has successfully conceptualized, developed,
financed, implemented and managed projects across a variety of
infrastructure sectors like transportation, energy, water supply, area
development, industrial parks, waste management, environment
management, townships along with social infrastructure projects in
education, health, sanitation and urban amenities.
This project is envisioned to hold a position of pride for the IL&FS, and
also on the world map, as a professional sporting and leisure

NGS is a body formed by Government of Kerala (GoK), for the
development of sports infrastructure and promotion of sports in the
state of Kerala. The Project will be implemented through a special
purpose vehicle, Karyavattom Sports Facilities Limited (KSFL), a
subsidiary of IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited.

a built up area of 8200 Sq m will house restaurants, an indoor sports

The IL&FS Kerala Stadium facility has been crafted as a win-win
opportunity: with an objective to generate value for investors, operators,
consumers and the community at large. IL&FS is committed to
developing the Kerala Stadium Project into a project of International
standards and repute, as well as meeting the expectations of
stakeholders.

KSFL, an IL&FS Group company and the special purpose company for
this project, will have the rights for operation & management (O&M) of
the Stadium facility for a period of 13 years, scheduled to commence
from mid 2014. With its experience in development and O&M of
infrastructure assets across sectors, IL&FS will ensure delivery of the
project as per the stated objectives and international benchmarks.
