Possession with Intent to Distribute/Disarming a Law


Enforcement Officer/DIP/Possession of
Narcotics/Resisting Arrest/False Identification to Law
Enforcement: Deputies responded to the area for a
report of possible narcotics activity. Deputies made
contact with a subject who, after a brief conversation,
attempted to flee from the area. A brief foot pursuit
ensued and the subject fell during the chase. A
struggle ensued and the subject grabbed the deputys
firearm from its holster but was unable to take
possession of the firearm. The subject was taken into
custody after a struggle. During his arrest, the subject
was found in possession of suspected cocaine and it
was determined he provided false identification to law
enforcement. Juan D. Gutierrez-Leal, 41, of Herndon,
was charged with possession with intent to distribute a
controlled substance, disarming a law enforcement
officer, resisting arrest, false identification to law
enforcement, and drunk in public. Gutierrez-Leal
remains held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult
Detention Center.

Larceny: Unknown subject(s) entered a locker and


removed a credit card. The credit card was later used
at a store in the area.
Larceny: Unknown subject(s) removed the drivers
side taillight of a vehicle.
Computer Fraud/Grand Larceny: Victim sent monies
via MoneyGram to purchase a vehicle online. Victim
has been unable to have further contact with the
seller.

Incident
Shooting: Deputies responded to the area for a report
male victim of an apparent self-inflicted injury. The
male reportedly unintentionally discharged a firearm
while cleaning it. The male was taken to Inova Fairfax
Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The
incident remains under investigation.
