Dear Choristers,
Thank you for coming to rehearsal on Saturday. I hope you are excited about the performance next
Tuesday. It is certainly geQng exciOng here in the oce as all the elements are coming together. In this
email are some notes about the performance:

RECORDINGS TO ASSIST MEMORISATION

ASached to this email are recordings of My Field to assist with your memorisaOon of the work. It is
expected that you will have this memorised for rehearsal on Saturday.

REHEARSAL ON SATURDAY

The rehearsal on Saturday 7th November, has been shortened to be 3.30-4.30pm ONLY.

PERFORMANCE NIGHT

Choristers will have to come completely dressed in performance uniform. There is not an opportunity
to get changed or keep bags with you any bags will be kept at Simmer on the Bay with the Senior
Training choirs. I encourage you to only bring a SMALL bag if you must bring one. Choristers will only
be able to take their phone and an opIonal book onto the ship. At the end of the performance,
choristers will walk straight o the ship past the dinner tables to the pickup point at Simmer on the
Bay. Because the choir will be walking o in front of the dinner guests, it is not possible to leave the
ship with bags. Sta and supervisors will be able to carry o your phone + a book as a maximum.
A\er their soundcheck, Choristers will have approx. 2 hours on deck and will be fed dinner & dessert
during that Ome.

PERFORMANCE UNIFORM

If you do not have a coloured silky please let me know ASAP. Young Mens Choristers Steph will give
you a teal silky on Saturday. Do not leave rehearsal without it!

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for one or two more parent volunteers to help with some of the fundraising aspects of
the evening (Specically, manning the treasure chest - where guests buy keys in the hope of selecOng
the correct key to open the chest and receive the gi\s inside!) If you think you could lend your Ome to
help between 5.30-10pm on the evening, please let me know.

RIGGING

Due to a number of reasons. Choristers will NO LONGER be singing from the rigging. Thanks to those
who expressed interest.
Please dont hesitate to contact me if you have any quesOons. This is a very special event, I hope
everyone is excited about it (Its not everyday you get to sing from a tall ship!)

Warm Regards,

Emma
