Objectives:
1. Students will learn a German folk song
2. Students will study cultural aspects of Germany

Formation:
-- You may stand anywhere on the dance floor with a partner. Make sure you have
enough room to move around.

Twirl partner

Extensions:
--Choose partners that the students are next to. Teach footwork first then add
handwork when students are secure.

History of Waldegger Dance:

--Traditional German Folk Dances often include a lot of hopping, skipping and
clapping; these dances started out as a religious tradition but then were
transformed into a way of having fun.
