Title: - EFFECTS OF CYBERBULLYING ON ONES IDENTITY

Area of study: - Tradition, culture and identity

Topic focus: - Causes and effects of cyberbullying and how to avoid cyberbullying
Issues for investigation in the context of our project: 1.
Rationale: - We chose this topic because the rate of teens being cyber-bullied is
increasing all over the world. We focused on the issue of cyberbullying due to the
fact that is major concern in the modern day age and statistics show that 52% of
young people have experienced cyberbullying. Also, our group members do not
know how much about the topic.
Aims: - The aim of this project is to become educated about cyberbullying, and to
share that knowledge with the wider community and cross-culturally, hopefully
helping to prevent the rate of cyberbullying rising in the future. The outcome of this
project is to educate and inspire children from a local school to be aware of how big
an issue cyberbullying is in todays modern day and age.
Outcome:

Video

website

With our outcome we aim on creating a website and a video which will help us in
spreading awareness about the issue of cyberbullying. We hope that by the end of
the project we will become capable enough to aware different people the effects of
cyberbullying and how to prevent it. We chose a video and a website because we all
feel that through them we can reach a lot of people at the same time. We also
chose them because people in our group are good with technology and know are
more comfortable in making a video and website than giving a speech or making a
poster.
Possible cross cultural collaborations:

about the different effects of cyberbullying on children in different countries
Interview with cyberbullied children from countries like the USA, the UK
and China.
