THE PROBLEM
The water quality is in increasing danger worldwide, for this is necessary
an urgent action to improve it and avoid not only the health risks, but also
to promote the prosperity of the peoples and contribute to the ecological
and environmental balance.

 Contaminated water and poor sanitation are related to the transmission

of diseases such as cholera , other diarrheal diseases , dysentery ,
hepatitis A , typhoid and polio. The water and non-existent , inadequate
or improperly managed sanitation expose people to preventable health
risks

THE IMPORTANCE
The healthy and easily accessible water is very important for the public
health, doesnt matter if it used to drink, to the housework, to make food
or to recreational purposes.
Get better the water supply, the sanitation and the management of the
water sources can boost the economic growth of the countries and
contribute greatly to the poverty reduction.

 The WHO has developed guides lines of the quality of water.

Since 2014 , The WHO has been testing products for household water
treatment according to medical performance criteria set out in the WHO
International Plan of Technology Assessment Household Water Treatment.
