Second Chance Counseling Services
Intern
-Worked in a Maternal Infant Health agency, observing and working with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, registered nurses, and registered
dieticians when needed. Regular duties required doing Risk Identifiers and
Discharge Summaries in the CHAMPS database, connecting clients to resources,
auditing files, and working with progress notes from the professionals.
Urban Neighborhood Initiatives
Volunteer
- Worked as a volunteer within the after school program, working with children
between the age of five and fifteen. Used my ability to speak Spanish to tutor the
Spanish-only children. Organized group activities and meals, monitored computer
time, and helped children with homework and reading.
