Irish Soda Bread..Bake at 350 degrees for 37 minutes.

3/4-Cup Buttermilk..
1-cup raisins..
1-egg lightly beaten..
Mix egg,buttermilk,and raisins together and set
aside to soak...Prepare your dry ingredients..
2-1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour..
1/2 teaspoon salt..
1-1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder..
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda..
2-tablespoons of sugar..
2=tablespoons of Butter..
Mix all dry ingredients together.Cut in butter.
Make well in center of dry ingredients.Pour
in buttermilk,raisin and egg mixture..
Stir with large spoon until together..
Dump on floured board and knead a few times
to form dough into a round shape.Place in
8 inch round greased pan.Brush top with 3
tablespoons of milk.Sprinkle on some sugar.
Cut cross on top with sharp knife..
Bake for 37 minutes at 350 degrees..
Remove from oven-Place on wire rack to cool..
