MN AFL-CIO DFL CONVENTION STATEMENT

No endorsement, but committed to electing a Governor who stands up for the
middle class.

St. Paul --- On the eve of this weekend’s Minnesota DFL state convention, Minnesota
AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson issued the following statement:

“While the Minnesota AFL-CIO is not endorsing a candidate for Governor before this
weekend’s convention, our 300,000 working men and women are committed to electing
a Governor in November who stands up for middle class families.

We will stand for leaders who take bold and decisive action to help create and keep
family-sustaining jobs, strengthen communities, invest in schools, rebuild our
infrastructure, expand health care, and make taxes fair.”

Knutson will address convention delegates on Saturday afternoon. She will also be
available to the media.
