Ecosystem
An ecosystem is a natural system that is formed by dynamic
interactions between biotic and non-biotic elements in a defined area.
Biotic elements include plants, insects (pests, natural enemies,
decomposers), microbes and other living organisms, and non-biotic
elements comprise weather components such as temperature, relative
humidity, wind, sunshine, rain and soil. Each element has its special
characteristics and role in the system that, as a function of time and
place, will influence the distribution and population of living organisms.
The term ecosystem also involves nutrient and energy flows within the
system.

A reef ball is a ball which provoke the growth of corals in its surface. For example, the reef
balls in Benete, PTNNT, is made out of concrete. They were released to the water years ago.
Now, coral is growing on and in it and fish are making it their home.

Snakes
Ants
Birds
Etc.
Abiotic Components
Abiotic components in the ecosystem are non-living things.
Such as:
Clouds
Sun
Water
Soil
Temperature
Etc.
Symbiosis
Interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association. There are three
basic types:
Mutual: A relationship between an individual of a species that benefits both.( The dog supply
protection and companionship and the humans provide food and shelter)
Parasitic: A relationship between an individual of a species that benefits one and the other
having loss.(Fleas and mosquitoes feed on blood from other organisms)
