One of Shakespeares most popular plays is A Midsummer Nights

Dream. This is a comedy (), so it has lots of funny parts. The
story is about four young lovers () and a group of six
actors. They all go into a forest and are tricked () by the
fairies ( ) that live there. The fairies use magic to make
everyone fall in love with each other and also turn one of the
actors into a donkey!
You can find A Midsummer Nights Dream and lots of other
Shakespeare stories in Zone M of the school library. They are
part of the Shakespeare Can Be Fun! series, which are written as
poems and use easier English than the old English from hundreds
of years ago. They also have lots of great pictures drawn by
children so go check them out!

Tongue twisters can be difficult, but they are fun to

say out loud. Try to read them aloud, as fast as you can!

Shakespeare introduced nearly 3000 words into the English language! His vocabulary () was
supposedly between 17,000 and 29,000 words- over double the average person!
There is a curse () written as a poem on Shakespeares tombstone ()- he wrote it
himself to stop people moving or damaging his grave ()!
