how is this presentation situated in the M.Phil. or PhD thesis? Is it a
chapter or a portion of a larger chapter? How does it contribute to
the main arguments of the thesis?
A literature review focused on the theoretical framework of the chapter
on which the presentation is based
An enhanced description of research methodology and defined
research design, OR
Discussion: sample of data (where applicable) and analysis

A THESIS CHAPTER (PHD STUDENTS)

Length: 6,500+ words (+ bibliography)

Introduction
brief overview of the PhD thesis and its main arguments
how is this chapter situated in the thesis? What is its contribution
to the development of the main arguments of the thesis?
A theoretical discussion of the theme of the chapter in question, based
on relevant literature
Discussion of research findings, including a sample of data (if applicable)
and analysis
